Selected candidate will report to CEO and others as assigned.
You will be part of Esco Aster’s
Cellular Agriculture Production team in the burgeoning Cultivated Meat Space
and contribute to the company’s CDMO mission and objectives, which would shape
the future of meat production. You will carry out cell culture operations
directed towards the fulfilment and achievement of client defined goals and
objectives of each project.
- Perform
cell culture operations with single-use technology (up to 500L bioreactor);
- Media preparation
- Upstream processing with cleanroom aseptic techniques.
- Downstream processing. - Maintain Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs), logbooks & Batch Records (BRs) in a timely, effective
and competent manner.
- Perform
equipment monitoring & and 6S housekeeping.
- Perform daily calibration tasks of
laboratory equipment (e.g. pH/ osmolality measurements etc.)
- Perform routine sanitization tasks
to maintain facility standards.
- Operation & equipment troubleshooting.
- Attain full competency in the performance of all
operations relevant to manufacturing areas assigned.
- Higher
Nitec in Life Sciences or Engineering.
- Diploma
in Life Sciences or Engineering.
- Experience
in aseptic cell culture techniques and biotechnology operations.
- Technical knowledge on bioreactor
culture control (e.g. pH/DO control, CO2/O2 control, cell performance, and
metabolites analysis).
- Strong sense of responsibility.
- Positive and proactive mindset.
- Capable of grasping the broader perspective.
- Able to work independently, self-motivated
and task oriented.
- Good communication skills; able to develop
positive relationships across different departments.
- Team player with hands-on attitude.
- During the start-up phase of the facility, be
willing to take on expanded role to set up the team and workflow/processes as
well as expanded scope as needed.
